Testing Nanlite Forza 720B on advertising and high-speed shooting
Hello friends! Today I want to share with you the exciting moments from our tests with the Nanlite Forza 720B, which turned into a real technical adventure.
Let's start with our first test - advertising shooting. We were faced with the task of creating the perfect sunlight in the studio, which at first glance seemed quite simple. But that's where the Forza 720B comes into play, showing off its incredible technical capabilities. By finely adjusting the color temperature from 2700 to 6500K and continuously adjusting the light intensity from 0 to 100%, we were able to recreate ideal morning and evening sun conditions. This was especially important to us given that color rendering and proper lighting played a key role in the authenticity of our images. Using the lightweight, easy-to-set Forza 720B head allowed us to easily move the light source around, experimenting with different angles and shadows, which gave our shots a lively, realistic feel.
During one of these experiments, we encountered a funny situation: while trying to achieve the perfect shadow, one of the assistants accidentally created a “ghost” effect in the frame, which caused a wave of laughter on set. But it is precisely such unexpected moments that force us to look for new creative solutions and approaches.
Moving on to the second test - high-speed shooting, we wanted to capture the moment of milk droplets exploding around an object. This is where the Forza 720B's lack of flicker at high frame rates made a difference. Thanks to this, we received crystal clear and detailed images, every drop of which was clearly visible. This was made possible thanks to the high light power and its stability, which is critical when working with such dynamic scenes.
An unexpected funny thing happened when we were trying to catch the "perfect explosion" around a strawberry. At one point, instead of the expected effect, the strawberry suddenly flew out of the frame, flying past the entire team. We couldn't stop laughing as we watched our "main character" decide to take a little trip around the studio.
These tests not only confirmed the outstanding technical characteristics of the Forza 720B, but also reminded us of the importance of flexibility, creativity and, of course, a good mood in the process. The Forza 720B is more than just a lighting fixture; it is a powerful tool that opens up new horizons for creativity and experimentation in photography and video production.
