It features a Full HD 1920x1080 IPS panel, supports 3G-SDI, HDMI, YPbPr, DVI-I, composite video, and analog audio inputs, and features loop-through outputs for easy integration into your workflow. The monitor is designed for use in television studios, OB vans, news production facilities, director's stations, and on-set. With a wide 178° viewing angle, factory calibration to the Rec. 709 standard, and a suite of professional assist features, the SEETEC P238-9HSD helps you confidently monitor color, sharpness, and framing. Its durable aluminum housing improves reliability and heat dissipation, and it can be powered via a wall adapter, a 4-pin XLR connector, or a V-Mount battery. Peaking Focus Assist highlights sharp areas, Pixel to Pixel allows 1:1 signal checking without scaling, and Check Field allows for separate analysis of the red, green, blue, or monochrome channels. For compositional control, a Center Marker and Safe Marker are available with several safe-zone presets, including 80%, 85%, 90%, 93%, 96%, and 2.35:1. The monitor also supports Image Flip (horizontal and vertical), Frame Freeze, Camera Mode, Zoom All, and separate zoom in the U/D and L/R directions. Some zooming and aspect ratio functions are unavailable with a 4K input, which is important to keep in mind when connecting a UHD signal. Interfaces and connection scenarios The model is ideal for integration into broadcast and AV systems thanks to its wide range of inputs and outputs. Inputs include 3G-SDI, HDMI, component YPbPr, DVI-I, composite video, and L/R audio. For pass-through signal transmission, 3G-SDI, HDMI, YPbPr, and video outputs are provided. A built-in speaker and a 3.5mm stereo headphone output are available for audio monitoring. The SEETEC P238-9HSD is conveniently used as a director's monitor, a control display in a rack, or an external monitor for the entire crew on set. Its tally feature makes it especially useful for live broadcasts and multi-camera setups. Design and power supply The aluminum alloy frame enhances structural rigidity and helps dissipate heat more efficiently during extended use. A U-shaped bracket with multiple 1/4" mounting points is included, allowing the monitor to be mounted on a stand, cart, desk, or other rig. Four VESA mounting points are also provided for permanent installation. Power is supplied via a number of options: the included adapter, a DC IN 12V input, a standard 4-pin XLR, and the included V-Mount battery plate. An Anton Bauer battery plate can be used as an option.
